Job Overview: A law firm specializing in civil litigation defense seeks a proactive and skilled Associate Attorney to join its Anchorage office. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in legal research, writing, and client interaction and will focus on delivering high-quality legal services to a diverse client base.

Job Duties:

• Conduct legal research and analysis on various civil litigation matters.
• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents.
• Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel.
• Manage case files and ensure all deadlines are met.
• Provide timely updates to clients and stakeholders on case progress.
• Maintain accurate time records and billing information.
• Respond promptly to client inquiries and concerns.
• Handle day-to-day legal tasks with efficiency and attention to detail.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the Alaska Bar Association preferred; eligibility to waive in or willingness to sit for the Alaska Bar Exam.
• Experience in civil litigation is preferred, but recent graduates with motivated qualifications will be considered.
• Strong legal research and writing skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Proficiency in legal research tools and software.
