A prominent law firm based in San Antonio, TX, is seeking an experienced Immigration Attorney specializing in EOIR (Executive Office for Immigration Review) matters. Duties:

• Represent individuals in removal proceedings before the Immigration Court and Board of Immigration Appeals.
• Provide strategic legal solutions and advice on complex immigration matters.
• Manage a caseload of immigration cases with attention to detail and efficiency.
• Conduct client intake and provide legal representation at detention centers for detained individuals.
• Prepare and file a variety of immigration applications, including removal defense and family-based petitions.
• Review and revise immigration applications to ensure accuracy and compliance with current regulations.
• Collaborate with law enforcement, prosecutorial offices, and community organizations on immigration law updates.
• Lead strategic immigration consultations to determine appropriate case strategies for clients.
• Prepare clients and witnesses for court hearings or USCIS testimony, ensuring all necessary documents are in order.
• Develop and submit legal briefs for a wide range of immigration cases.

Requirements:

• 1-5 years of experience practicing immigration law, particularly with EOIR cases.
• Strong legal research and analytical skills.
• Proven ability to manage a caseload and move cases forward effectively.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a focus on client interaction.
• Experience in family-based immigration petitions, humanitarian relief, and other USCIS applications.
• Experience working with case management software is a plus.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Licensed to practice law in the state of Texas.

Skills:

• Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred but not required.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to handle sensitive client information with discretion.
