Job Overview: The Mid-Level Transactional Tax Associate Attorney will provide comprehensive tax advice to clients on various transactional matters, including fund formation, Section 892 investors, real estate transactions, income tax treaties, and cross-border transactions. The role requires expertise in tax law and the ability to handle complex legal issues independently.

Job Duties:

• Effectively communicate, verbally and in writing, with clients, lawyers, business professionals, and third parties.
• Produce high-quality deliverables, answer phone calls, and respond to correspondence promptly.
• Provide timely and accurate work products while meeting deadlines and expectations.
• Foster positive relationships within the firm and with clients.
• Comply with all firm policies and practices.
• Engage in physical and sedentary activities, including extensive computer work, digital/virtual conference calls, and in-person meetings as required.
• Perform other duties, tasks, or projects as assigned.

Requirements:

• Minimum 2+ years of transactional tax experience dealing with fund formation, Section 892 investors, real estate, income tax treaties, and cross-border transactions.
• Prior experience with an AmLaw 100 law firm or SEC experience preferred.
• Strong analytical and writing skills with attention to detail.
• Demonstrated good business judgment and excellent organizational skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively as well as independently.
• Exceptional oral and written communication skills.
• Proficient research and problem-solving abilities.
• Conceptual thinking and ability to influence others.
• Persuasive communication and management skills.
• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Bar admission in Illinois (IL) required.
