A well-established law firm in Honolulu, HI is seeking a lateral attorney to join its energy, telecommunications, water, and transportation regulatory practice. The ideal candidate will have experience in regulatory law, administrative law, and/or commercial litigation. Duties:

• Represent clients in regulatory, administrative, and commercial matters within the energy, telecommunications, water, and transportation sectors
• Provide legal counsel on complex regulatory issues and disputes
• Handle commercial litigation, including case preparation, strategy, and representation
• Collaborate with senior attorneys and clients on various legal matters
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry regulations and legal trends
• Draft and review legal documents, contracts, and agreements
• Negotiate settlements and resolve conflicts in a strategic manner

Requirements:

• A minimum of 5-6 years of experience in regulatory law, administrative law, and/or commercial litigation
• Strong research, writing, and oral advocacy skills
• Proven track record of successful legal representation in a regulatory or litigation context
• Ability to handle complex legal matters independently and as part of a team
• Professional and collaborative demeanor with clients and colleagues

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Active Bar license in Hawaii or the ability to obtain one

Skills:

• Expertise in regulatory law and administrative law
• Experience in commercial litigation
• Strong negotiation and dispute-resolution skills
• Proficient in legal research and writing
• Excellent communication and client management abilities
