Job Title: Mid-Level to Senior Insurance Coverage Litigation Associate Attorney

Job Overview:
A prominent law firm, located in Kansas City, MO, is seeking an experienced Mid-Level to Senior Insurance Coverage Litigation Associate Attorney to join its highly regarded litigation team. This role presents an excellent opportunity for an attorney with 5-7 years of experience in insurance coverage litigation to grow and work on complex, high-stakes matters. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to engage in all aspects of litigation while collaborating closely with seasoned attorneys and clients.

Duties:

• Drafting complex case evaluations, pleadings, motions, and other litigation documents
• Managing cases from inception to trial, including post-trial work and appeals where necessary
• Conducting discovery, including document production, written discovery, and depositions
• Collaborating with clients, witnesses, experts, and opposing counsel
• Analyzing insurance coverage issues and extra-contractual disputes
• Drafting coverage opinions and conducting coverage analyses

Requirements:

• 5-7 years of litigation experience, with a focus on insurance coverage litigation
• Strong writing, case management, and oral advocacy skills
• Experience handling complex legal issues and managing high-profile cases
• Federal District Court or Appellate clerkship experience is a plus
• Experience with PFAS (poly-fluoroalkyl substances) litigation is advantageous

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
• Must be licensed to practice law in the State of Missouri and be in good standing

Certifications:

• Bar membership in Missouri required
