A law firm in Tallahassee, FL is seeking a skilled Associate Attorney to handle a variety of Workers' Compensation defense matters. The ideal candidate will manage their own caseload, work closely with a seasoned Partner on litigation strategies, and deliver high-quality service to clients. Strong writing skills and prior experience with medical records are highly valued.

Duties:

• Caseload Management: Independently manage a diverse caseload of Workers' Compensation defense matters.
• Collaboration: Work directly with a seasoned Partner to craft and implement effective litigation strategies.
• Medical Record Review: Analyze and review medical records to support case development and strengthen legal arguments.
• Document Drafting: Draft clear and concise legal documents, including motions, pleadings, and other court-related papers.
• Client Communication: Maintain regular communication with clients to address their needs and provide case updates.
• Remote Work: Efficiently manage responsibilities and work independently in a remote setting.
• Legal Technology: Utilize legal technology and participate in virtual court processes effectively.

Requirements:

• Education: Juris Doctorate (JD) from an accredited law school.
• Bar Certification: Active Florida Bar Membership in good standing.
• Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in Workers' Compensation defense.
• Medical Records: Experience in reviewing medical records and drafting related legal documents.
• Remote Work: Proven ability to work independently in a virtual environment.
• Legal Technology: Comfort with legal technology and virtual court processes.
