Job Title: Class Action Senior Associate Attorney or Counsel (Labor & Employment)

Job Overview:
A prominent law firm, located in Los Angeles, CA, is seeking an experienced Senior Associate Attorney or Senior Counsel to join its Class Action practice group within the Employment & Immigration sector. This role is ideal for a highly skilled individual with over 7 years of complex litigation experience who is eager to take on high-profile class action cases. The position offers a collaborative environment, working alongside a team of dedicated professionals in labor and employment law.

Duties:

• Manage and represent clients in complex class action litigation, focusing on employment discrimination, wage and hour claims, workplace privacy, and related matters.
• Handle class certification, dispositive motions, discovery, and other stages of class action litigation.
• Advise clients on risk mitigation strategies related to employment law and class action risks.
• Collaborate with legal team members, including associates and paralegals, to develop case strategies.
• Draft pleadings, motions, and other legal documents.
• Present cases in court, as well as handle settlement negotiations and alternative dispute resolution processes.
• Stay up to date with legal trends, statutory changes, and best practices within the class action and employment law fields.
• Guide junior attorneys and assist in their professional development.

Requirements:

• Minimum 7 years of substantive experience in complex litigation, specifically in class action cases.
• Experience in defending class actions related to employment discrimination, wage and hour, EEOC/DOL matters, and related issues.
• Solid understanding of class action certification processes and related legal precedents.
• Ability to think strategically and handle multiple, high-stakes cases simultaneously.
• Proven track record of handling complex litigation and large case teams.
• Excellent research, writing, and oral communication skills.
• Ability to thrive in a team-oriented, fast-paced work environment.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Active Bar membership in the state of California.

Skills:

• Expertise in labor and employment law, specifically in class actions.
• Exceptional legal research and writing skills.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with an ability to manage client relationships and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Detailed knowledge of class action procedural requirements, employment statutes, and case law.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle challenging legal issues.
