Job Overview: A law firm specializing in litigation is seeking a Torts and Products Liability Associate Attorney to join their team in New York City. The ideal candidate will have litigation experience in New York State and federal courts, particularly in product liability defense, insurance, personal injury, and professional malpractice actions.

Duties:

• Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents related to torts and product liability cases.
• Assist in all aspects of discovery, including drafting discovery requests and responses, conducting document reviews, and preparing for and attending depositions.
• Work collaboratively with senior attorneys to develop case strategies and tactics.
• Communicate with clients to provide status updates and ensure adequate representation.

Requirements:

• Minimum 1 year of litigation experience, focusing on torts and product liability, is preferred.
• Licensed to practice law in New York State; New Jersey licensure is preferred.
• Superior verbal, writing, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Demonstrated ability to handle a high-volume caseload efficiently and effectively.

Education and Certifications:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the New York State Bar; admission to the New Jersey State Bar is a plus.
