A well-established law firm in Tampa, Florida, is seeking a skilled and dedicated Medical Malpractice Attorney to join their team. This opportunity offers the chance to work on complex cases, from pre-suit through trial and resolution, within the medical malpractice and nursing home abuse sector. The ideal candidate will possess trial experience, be detail-oriented, and demonstrate an unwavering commitment to achieving successful outcomes for clients.

Duties:

  • Manage Medical Malpractice and Nursing Home Abuse cases from initial filing through litigation, trial, and settlement.
  • Conduct depositions and hearings; prepare and present compelling PowerPoint presentations for mediation.
  • Engage in trials and arbitration, ensuring thorough preparation and strong representation in the courtroom.
  • Draft and review legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and discovery requests.
  • Collaborate with clients, expert witnesses, and opposing counsel to effectively move cases forward.
  • Maintain a comprehensive understanding of the Florida Evidence Code and the Florida Rules of Civil Procedure.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in Medical Malpractice and Nursing Home Abuse law in Florida.
  • Proven trial experience with a strong grasp of legal procedures and courtroom dynamics.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle complex litigation and case management with attention to detail.
  • Strong determination, competitiveness, and a proactive attitude toward achieving results.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage a high caseload while maintaining quality and professionalism.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
  • Active membership in good standing with the Florida Bar.

Certifications:

  • Licensed to practice law in Florida.

Skills:

  • In-depth knowledge of Florida Evidence Code and Civil Procedure.
  • Proficiency in handling depositions, hearings, and trial presentations.
  • Strong litigation, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.

Job Location:

  • Tampa, FL
