Job Overview:
A well-established law firm is seeking a General Liability Associate Attorney to join its Philadelphia office. The ideal candidate will have 4+ years of experience in general liability law and a strong background in litigation, legal research, and writing. This position offers an opportunity to represent clients in various legal matters, including court appearances, arbitrations, and depositions, with a focus on delivering exceptional legal services. Location:

• Philadelphia, PA

Duties:

• Review files and conduct legal analysis of claims and causes of action
• Perform extensive legal research and draft briefs, memos, pleadings, and appellate briefs
• Meet the annual billable requirement of 1,950 hours
• Represent clients in court, at arbitrations, and during depositions
• Draft and respond to discovery requests
• Retain and collaborate with expert witnesses
• Prepare for and attend trials
• Some travel may be required

Requirements:

• 4+ years of experience in general liability law
• J.D. degree from an ABA-approved law school
• Admission to practice in the state of Pennsylvania (other state admissions are a plus)
• Superior analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong research, writing, and oral communication skills
• Ability to self-manage, work independently, and collaborate in a team environment
• Excellent client management skills and a professional telephone manner
• Must respond promptly to emails and phone inquiries

Education:

• J.D. from an ABA-approved law school

Certifications:

• Admission to the Pennsylvania Bar (other state admissions are a plus)
