A law firm based in Cerritos, CA, is seeking an Education Law Associate Attorney who is passionate about public agency and education law. The successful candidate will possess exceptional research and writing skills, strong presentation abilities, and a solid academic record. Admission to the California State Bar in good standing is required.

Duties:

• Provide legal counsel and representation to public agencies, school districts, and educational institutions on matters related to education law.
• Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, policies, and agreements pertinent to educational governance and operations.
• Conduct comprehensive legal research and prepare detailed legal memoranda, briefs, and opinions.
• Advise clients on compliance with federal and state education laws, regulations, and policies.
• Represent clients in administrative hearings, mediations, and other dispute resolution forums.
• Assist in the development and implementation of educational policies and procedures.
• Prepare and deliver presentations on legal issues and updates in education law to clients and stakeholders.
• Collaborate with colleagues and clients on complex legal matters and case strategies.

Requirements:

• 0-5 years of experience in education law or a related field.
• Admission to the California State Bar in good standing.
• Demonstrated interest in public agency and education law.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Admission to the California State Bar in good standing.
