Duties:

• Represent clients in family law matters including divorce, child custody, child support, and spousal support.
• Draft, review, and file legal documents such as petitions, motions, and settlement agreements.
• Conduct legal research and prepare briefs, memoranda, and case strategies.
• Manage a caseload of family law matters, ensuring timely and effective case progression.
• Advise clients on legal rights, obligations, and potential outcomes of their cases.
• Negotiate settlements and represent clients in mediation and court proceedings.
• Collaborate with other attorneys, paralegals, and support staff to provide comprehensive legal services.
• Maintain accurate and detailed case records and documentation.
• Stay updated on changes in family law and legal precedents.

Requirements:

• Must have at least 2 years of experience in family law or related litigation.
• Must be admitted to practice law in New York.
• Strong academic credentials from an accredited law school.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Proven litigation experience, with matrimonial and family law experience preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to handle complex legal cases and manage client relationships.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Admitted to practice law in New York State.
