  • Advise medical staffs on regulatory and accreditation compliance, including the application of peer review statutes, Medicare Conditions of Participation, and Joint Commission standards.
  • Draft and review medical staff bylaws, rules, and regulations to ensure compliance and effectiveness.
  • Conduct legal research and prepare memoranda on complex healthcare law issues.
  • Stay current on emerging healthcare laws and regulations, providing updates and strategic guidance to clients.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals and internal teams to develop and implement compliance programs and training.
  • Provide legal counsel on risk management and dispute resolution related to healthcare practices.

Requirements:

  • 7-10 years of experience advising hospital medical staffs and peer review bodies.
  • Strong understanding of peer review statutes, Medicare Conditions of Participation, and Joint Commission standards.
  • Demonstrated experience in conducting legal research and drafting legal documents.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
