Associate Attorney needed for Folsom office

Job Overview: A law firm in Folsom, CA, seeks a dedicated and skilled Associate Attorney to handle breach of contract and collection litigation matters from demand through judgment. The successful candidate will manage a diverse caseload, prepare and argue motions for summary judgment, attend court hearings, and address escalated and time-sensitive matters as needed.

Duties:

• Handle breach of contract and collection litigation matters from demand through judgment.
• Attend court hearings, both telephonic and in person.
• Prepare and argue Motions for Summary Judgment.
• Manage an assigned caseload to meet goals and client expectations.
• Handle escalated and time-sensitive matters as needed.
• Perform other duties and special projects as required.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school.
• Admission to practice law in California; multi-jurisdiction admission in AZ, CA, NV, and TX preferred.
• Experience with the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA) and Article 9 of the Uniform Commercial Code (UCC) is a plus.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Strong research skills, including the use of legal and non-legal sources.
• Proficiency in software tools, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Ability to manage and prioritize a large caseload.
• Timely identification and resolution of problems.
• Conscientious concerning work completion, deadlines, time management, and attendance.
• Analytical and detail-oriented with the ability to work at a fast pace.
• Excellent problem-solving and organizational skills.
• Strong work ethic and willingness to adapt to change.

Education and Certifications:

• Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school.
• Admission to practice law in California (multi-jurisdiction admission preferred).
