Duties:

• Advise clients on state and federal privacy laws and regulatory compliance.
• Guide data protection, management, and security, including data flows and maps.
• Handle incident response related to data breaches and security issues.
• Draft and negotiate commercial contracts focusing on data privacy and security provisions.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external clients, including non-legal professionals, to address data privacy and security concerns.
• Stay updated on emerging trends and changes in data privacy and security laws and regulations.
• Participate in firm-wide initiatives related to data privacy and security.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in data privacy and security law.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively with legal and non-legal professionals.
• Experience drafting and negotiating commercial contracts preferred.
• Demonstrated expertise in state and federal privacy laws, data protection, management, and incident response.
• Familiarity with the healthcare industry is strongly preferred.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
