Job Overview:
A prestigious law firm located in White Plains, NY, seeks a dynamic and experienced Immigration Attorney to join its legal team. The ideal candidate will handle complex immigration matters involving family, humanitarian, removal, consular, and naturalization cases. This role emphasizes collaboration, client-focused advocacy, and the ability to navigate challenging legal scenarios with empathy and leadership.

Duties:

• Draft detailed memorandums, briefs, and responses for cases before USCIS, EOIR, and the BIA.
• Conduct thorough case assessments to develop effective legal strategies.
• Collaborate closely with paralegals and legal assistants for case management.
• Provide virtual and in-person consultations to clients.
• Represent clients at USCIS interviews and immigration court hearings.
• Handle cases such as:
  • Family Petitions and Removal of Conditions
  • Humanitarian cases (VAWA, U Visas, Asylum)
  • Waivers (I-601, I-601A, I-212)
  • Naturalization and Citizenship applications
  • Appeals and Motions to Reopen
  • Removal Defense and Consular Processing

Requirements:

• Active Bar license in any U.S. state.
• Minimum of 2-3 years of experience practicing immigration law.
• Exceptional legal research, writing, and communication skills.
• Strong advocacy skills, with a client-centered approach and a commitment to achieving positive outcomes.
• Demonstrated ability to build rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Active license to practice law in any U.S. jurisdiction.

Skills:

• Proficiency in legal research tools and case management software.
• Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
• Ability to work effectively under deadlines and manage multiple cases simultaneously.
