Job Overview:
A reputable law firm is seeking an experienced Finance and Restructuring Litigation Associate to join its Native American litigation team. This position provides an opportunity to represent tribes, tribal entities, and tribal members in complex legal matters related to tribal sovereignty, gaming, and self-determination. Additionally, the associate will work on high-stakes commercial and construction disputes, further developing their litigation expertise in a prestigious practice.

Location: Boulder, CO 

Duties:

• Represent tribal clients in cases involving tribal sovereignty, gaming, and self-determination.
• Handle complex commercial and construction litigation matters.
• Draft legal documents such as motions, briefs, and pleadings.
• Conduct legal research and develop case strategies.
• Participate in depositions, hearings, and oral arguments.
• Collaborate with senior attorneys on trial preparation.
• Manage a caseload and ensure deadlines are met effectively.

Requirements:

• 3 to 5 years of litigation experience with an interest or background in Federal Indian Law and administrative law.
• Experience in tribal sovereignty, gaming, or self-determination is preferred.
• Proven ability to handle depositions, hearings, and oral arguments.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Admission to the State Bar of the jurisdiction where the position is located.

Skills:

• Strong legal research, writing, and analytical abilities.
• Ability to draft clear, concise, and compelling legal documents.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
