Litigation Associate Attorney

Profile

A law firm in Los Angeles is seeking an experienced Litigation Associate Attorney to join their dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on litigation experience, strong legal research and writing skills, and the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary environment.

Duties:

• Conduct legal research and analysis on complex litigation matters.
• Handle discovery, including drafting and responding to discovery requests.
• Take and defend depositions of witnesses and experts.
• Conduct witness interviews and prepare witness statements.
• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents.
• Prepare for and argue motions in court.
• Assist in trial preparation and strategy.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the California State Bar, in good standing.
• 3+ years of solid litigation experience, preferably including commercial litigation, trial, or white collar and investigations.
• Prior experience as a judicial law clerk is a plus.
• Excellent legal writing and research skills.
• Strong oral advocacy skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients, colleagues, and the court.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
• Effective problem-solving abilities with a proactive approach to client and team needs.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Admission to the California State Bar.
