Litigation Attorney

A law firm in Salem, OR, is seeking a Litigation Attorney with 1-3 years of experience to join their team. The ideal candidate will have previous experience managing civil litigation cases or judicial law clerk experience, possess strong oral and writing skills, and be adept at working collaboratively within a team environment.

Job Duties:

• Manage civil litigation cases from inception to resolution.
• Draft substantive pleadings, motions, and other legal documents.
• Participate in discovery review and management, drafting and responding to discovery requests.
• Conduct legal research and analysis to support litigation strategy.
• Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and the court.
• Collaborate with a skilled team of staff attorneys and legal assistants.

Requirements:

• 1-3 years of experience practicing law, preferably in civil litigation.
• Previous experience managing civil litigation cases or judicial law clerk experience.
• Proficiency in drafting substantive pleadings or judicial opinions.
• Prior participation in discovery review and management.
• Excellent oral and writing skills.
• Ability to work effectively within a team environment.

Education and Certifications:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the bar in Oregon, or eligibility to waive in.
