Duties:

• Develop action plans, budgets, and recommendations for new files.
• Identify pleading requirements and delegate tasks to paralegals.
• Prepare responses to discovery requests and manage document production.
• Attend depositions, hearings, and other discovery-related events, providing comprehensive reports.
• Negotiate settlements, secure necessary approvals, and prepare for trial when needed.
• Maintain consistent communication with paralegals and legal assistants to ensure smooth case management.

Requirements:

• 1-5 years of litigation experience, with a strong focus on insurance defense (preferred).
• Active license to practice law in Virginia.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, enabling effective collaboration with clients and colleagues.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently and independently in a fast-paced environment.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Admission to the Virginia Bar.

Skills:

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Willingness to learn new database management systems.
