Job Title: Labor and Employment Associate Attorney

Job Overview: A prominent law firm based in Palo Alto, CA, is looking for a talented Labor and Employment Associate Attorney with 3-4 years of litigation experience to join their highly regarded practice. The firm is seeking a motivated individual with expertise in handling wage and hour class actions, PAGA claims, single-plaintiff employment matters, and providing day-to-day employment counseling. Ideal candidates should have experience with both state and federal court litigation, strong legal writing skills, and the ability to manage complex cases. Duties:

• Handle a range of labor and employment litigation matters, including wage and hour class actions, PAGA claims, and individual employment disputes.
• Provide day-to-day employment counseling to clients on employee handbooks, workplace policies, and compliance matters.
• Conduct legal research, and prepare pleadings, motions, and court filings.
• Manage discovery, and motion practice, and assist in trial preparation in both state and federal courts.
• Take and defend depositions, participate in settlement negotiations, and assist in preparing for trial.
• Develop strong relationships with clients and contribute to business development efforts within the practice.

Requirements:

• 3-4 years of labor and employment litigation experience, preferably including class actions, PAGA claims, and employment disputes.
• Strong legal writing and research skills.
• Experience managing discovery, preparing motions, and handling depositions.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Demonstrated client relationship management skills.
• Exceptional work ethic and attention to detail.

Education:

• JD from an ABA-approved law school.
• Active member in good standing with the California State Bar.

Certifications:

• Active California Bar membership required.

Skills:

• Labor and employment litigation experience.
• Strong research, drafting, and legal writing capabilities.
• Familiarity with California-specific employment laws and regulations.
• Experience with trial preparation and settlement negotiations.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
