Duties and Responsibilities

• Evaluate new cases, create action plans, establish budgets, and provide recommendations.
• Identify pleading requirements and delegate tasks to paralegals or support staff as needed.
• Draft and manage discovery responses and document production.
• Participate in depositions, hearings, and other discovery activities, providing detailed reports.
• Engage in settlement negotiations and prepare cases for trial when necessary.
• Collaborate regularly with paralegals and legal assistants to ensure case progression.

Requirements

• 1-5 years of experience in litigation, preferably within insurance law.
• Must be licensed to practice law in Georgia.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
• High level of organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; willingness to learn additional case management software.
• Capable of working both independently and as part of a collaborative team.

Education

• Juris Doctorate (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Must be licensed to practice law in the state of Georgia.

Skills

• Excellent legal research and writing skills.
• Strong negotiation and settlement experience.
• Proficiency in litigation support tools and technology.
• Ability to handle complex legal tasks with a high degree of accuracy.
