Job Overview: A law firm in Anchorage, AK, is seeking a Commercial Litigation Associate Attorney to join its team. The ideal candidate will assist with all aspects of litigation, including developing case strategies, participating in hearings in federal and state courts, and handling arbitration proceedings.

Duties:

• Assisting with all aspects of litigation, including developing case strategies, participating in hearings, and handling arbitration proceedings
• Managing cases and projects with minimal oversight
• Working collaboratively and independently to meet client demands
• Handling numerous matters simultaneously
• Conducting legal research and writing briefs, motions, and other legal documents
• Participating in client meetings and negotiations
• Representing clients in court proceedings and alternative dispute resolution forums
• Providing legal advice and counsel to clients on commercial litigation matters

Requirements:

• Licensed to practice in Alaska or a state that grants reciprocity with Alaska or willing and eligible to sit for the Alaska Bar
• Experience managing cases and projects with minimal oversight
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Ability to work collaboratively and independently
• Ability to handle numerous matters simultaneously
• Excellent research, writing, communication, and interpersonal skills, including public speaking
• Judicial clerkship experience is a plus

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Admission to the Alaska Bar or eligibility to sit for the Alaska Bar
