A law firm in New York City is looking for a Project Finance Associate Attorney to join their team. This role is focused on renewable energy project finance, where the associate will represent lenders and tax equity investors in complex, high-value transactions. Ideal candidates should bring 3-5 years of transactional experience, specifically in project finance, with a strong academic background and exceptional analytical and writing skills.

Duties:

• Represent lenders or tax equity investors in renewable energy project finance transactions.
• Draft, negotiate, and review complex transaction documents.
• Conduct thorough legal research to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including senior attorneys, financial advisors, and clients.
• Provide strategic advice on legal aspects of financing and project development.
• Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including clients and regulatory bodies.

Requirements:

• 3-5 years of experience in project finance or related transactional law.
• Strong background in representing lenders or tax equity investors in renewable energy projects.
• Excellent legal writing and communication skills.
• Ability to handle complex legal matters with precision and efficiency.
• Proven track record of managing multiple projects simultaneously.

Education:

• Juris Doctorate (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Active membership in the New York State Bar (additional state bars may be a plus).

Skills:

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
• Proficient in drafting and negotiating legal documents.
