Job Overview: A law firm in Houston, TX, is seeking a highly motivated Litigation Associate Attorney to join their dynamic team. The role involves managing a docket of personal injury cases, from motor vehicle collisions to premise liability disputes, and representing clients in various stages of litigation.

Duties:

• Filing petitions, motions, and other legal documents in state and federal courts.
• Conducting legal research and drafting pleadings, discovery requests, and responses.
• Engaging in discovery, including drafting and responding to interrogatories, requests for production, and requests for admission.
• Handling depositions of witnesses and experts.
• Attending court hearings, mediations, and trials.
• Negotiating settlements on behalf of clients.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the State Bar of Texas and in good standing.
• Litigation experience, preferably in personal injury law.
• Strong knowledge of Texas civil procedure and rules of evidence.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage a high-volume caseload efficiently.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.

Certifications and Skills:

• Certification in Personal Injury Law (preferred but not required).
• Proficiency in legal research tools such as Westlaw or LexisNexis.
• Experience with case management software (e.g., Clio, MyCase).
