Key Responsibilities:

• Case Management: Conduct file reviews and legal analysis of claims and causes of action related to maritime and general liability.
• Legal Research and Drafting: Perform extensive legal research and draft substantial briefs, memos, pleadings, and appellate briefs.
• Litigation: Represent clients in court, arbitrations, and depositions. Handle discovery requests, expert witness retention, and trial preparation.
• Client Interaction: Maintain strong client relationships through excellent communication and effective legal representation.
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with colleagues and support staff to ensure thorough case management and client service.
• Travel: Be prepared for occasional travel as required for client meetings, court appearances, and depositions.
• Billable Hours: Achieve and maintain an annual billable hour requirement of 1950 hours.

Requirements:

• Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in general liability with a focus on maritime law.
• Education: Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an ABA-approved law school.
• Certifications: Admitted to practice in the State of Florida; admission to other states is a plus.
• Skills:
