A law firm is seeking an experienced Family Law Associate Attorney to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3-5 years of experience handling complex divorce and family law cases, including those that have been litigated through trial. Duties:

• Represent clients in a wide range of family law matters, including divorce, child custody, and spousal support.
• Handle complex cases, including litigation through trial, and manage client interactions throughout the process.
• Conduct legal research, draft motions, petitions, and other legal documents.
• Provide clear and concise legal advice to clients, ensuring they are informed and supported throughout their case.
• Collaborate with senior attorneys to develop case strategies.
• Participate in settlement negotiations, mediations, and trial preparation.
• Maintain client-focused approach and ensure professional and courteous interactions with clients, opposing counsel, and the court.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
• Member in good standing of the Virginia State Bar with no disciplinary history.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in divorce and family law.
• Strong litigation skills, with experience handling trial cases.
• Excellent legal research, writing, and communication skills.
• Proactive and client-focused approach to legal representation.
• Professional demeanor when interacting with clients and opposing counsel.
• Judicial clerkship experience is a plus.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Active membership in the Virginia State Bar.

Skills:
