Job Overview
A growing law firm is seeking experienced General Liability Associates to join their expanding team in the downtown Atlanta office. This role will involve managing a caseload primarily focused on products liability, consumer litigation, construction, trucking and transportation liability, and personal/bodily injury liability. Ideal candidates will have hands-on litigation experience, a passion for the defense industry, and the ability to manage complex cases.

Duties

• Handle a range of general liability matters, including products liability, consumer litigation, construction, trucking and transportation liability, and personal/bodily injury liability.
• Take and defend depositions, manage discovery, and represent clients in court appearances.
• Draft, prepare, and argue motions.
• Manage complex cases and client relationships effectively.
• Work collaboratively with team members and senior attorneys to develop case strategies and ensure the best possible outcomes.
• Maintain strong communication with clients, providing timely updates and legal advice.
• Work on cases from initial intake through settlement or trial.

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of experience at a defense law firm.
• Demonstrated experience with depositions, court appearances, and motions practice.
• Active license to practice law in Georgia.
• Proven ability to manage complex legal matters independently.
• Strong writing, speaking, and analytical skills.
• Passion for litigation and a strong work ethic.
• Ability to manage discovery and depositions effectively.

Education

• J.D. from an ABA-approved law school

Certifications

• Active license to practice law in Georgia

Skills

• Strong communication (oral and written) and analytical skills.
• Ability to manage cases independently and work well in a team environment.
• High level of organization and attention to detail.
