Job Title: Junior Finance Associate Attorney

Job Overview:

A leading law firm in Atlanta, GA, is seeking a Junior Finance Associate Attorney to join its Business Finance practice group. This is a full-time, partnership-track position ideal for attorneys with at least one year of experience in finance transactions. The role offers the opportunity to work on a wide range of financial matters, including Article 9 of the UCC, syndicated lending, and middle-market transactions, in a collaborative and professional environment.

Duties:

• Assist in structuring and executing diverse finance transactions, focusing on syndicated and middle-market lending.
• Provide legal counsel on matters involving Article 9 of the Uniform Commercial Code (UCC).
• Represent both lenders and borrowers in financial workouts and restructurings.
• Draft, review, and negotiate loan documents, security agreements, and other related legal instruments.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless execution of finance deals.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in finance-related legal work.
• Experience with Article 9 of the UCC, syndicated lending, and middle-market transactions.
• Familiarity with representing lenders and borrowers in financial workouts.
• Strong academic record.
• Exceptional analytical, organizational, and writing abilities.
• Team-oriented mindset with a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Active membership in the Georgia Bar is preferred or required within one year of joining.

Skills:

• Comprehensive knowledge of finance law and legal frameworks, especially Article 9 of the UCC.
• Strong drafting and negotiation skills for financial agreements.
• Ability to manage multiple projects in a deadline-driven environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
