Duties

• Represent clients in immigration matters, including asylum petitions, family-based petitions, work permits, and removal proceedings.
• Prepare and review legal documents, including petitions, applications, and correspondence.
• Conduct legal research and stay updated on immigration laws and policies.
• Assist with client interviews and consultations to gather relevant case information.
• Collaborate with attorneys, paralegals, and support staff in managing cases.
• Communicate effectively with clients and other stakeholders, ensuring compliance with deadlines and legal requirements.
• Provide support in preparing clients for immigration interviews and hearings.
• Assist in filing petitions and applications with the appropriate government agencies.

Requirements

• 0-1 year of immigration law experience.
• Ability to work effectively in a team setting.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
• Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks.
• Fluency in Spanish preferred.
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Licensed to practice law in California (California Bar).

• Immigration Law: Basic understanding of immigration processes and procedures.
