Litigation Associate Attorney

Profile

A law firm in Dublin, OH, is seeking a Litigation Associate Attorney to join their team. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage a caseload under supervision while collaborating with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel.

Job Duties:

• Draft various litigation documents, including pleadings, motions, discovery requests/responses, and briefs under the supervision of senior attorneys.
• Communicate effectively with clients, providing updates and guidance throughout the litigation process.
• Collaborate with opposing counsel, court personnel, and experts as necessary to advance case strategy.
• Manage own caseload with support from a manager and paralegal, ensuring cases progress efficiently and meet deadlines.
• Conduct legal research and analysis on applicable laws, regulations, and legal precedent.
• Prepare for and participate in hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and trials as required.

Requirements:

• JD from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the Ohio State Bar or expected licensure pending the next bar exam results.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Attention to detail and ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize workload effectively.

Preferred Certifications/Skills:

• Prior litigation experience preferred but not required.
• Familiarity with Ohio civil procedure and litigation practices.
• Trial experience or a desire to gain trial experience.
