Profile

A law firm seeks a proactive Associate Attorney to join its team in a remote capacity, ideally located near Indianapolis, IN. This role is essential for managing case files and representing the firm during various legal proceedings, including pre-trials, trials, mediations, and other court appearances.

Duties

• Manage case files and develop strategies for the next steps in litigation.
• Represent the firm in pre-trial hearings, trials, mediations, and other legal settings.
• Conduct thorough investigations to uncover facts and determine causes of action.
• Prepare persuasive communication materials to support case objectives.
• Work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume environment, managing competing priorities effectively.

Requirements

• 1 to 3 years of experience in civil litigation.
• Preferred 1 to 2 years of experience in Creditors’ Rights or Collections.
• Strong investigative skills and ability to discern critical facts for case development.
• Self-motivated and capable of working both independently and collaboratively in a team.

Education

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited institution.

Certifications

• Must be licensed to practice law in the state of Indiana.

Skills

• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; familiarity with online research tools.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to create compelling communication materials and reports.
