A law firm seeks a Mid-Level Transactional Tax Associate Attorney in Los Angeles, CA.

Job Overview:

The Mid-Level Transactional Tax Associate Attorney will provide expert legal counsel on transactional tax matters, including fund formation, Section 892 investors, real estate transactions, income tax treaties, and cross-border transactions. The role requires a strong foundation in tax law and the ability to apply this knowledge effectively in a dynamic legal environment.

Duties:

• Effectively communicate, verbally and in writing, with clients, lawyers, business professionals, and third parties.
• Produce high-quality deliverables, answer phone calls, and respond to correspondence promptly.
• Provide accurate and timely work product, meeting firm standards and client expectations.
• Manage deadlines and perform duties as required, demonstrating flexibility and efficiency.
• Cultivate positive working relationships within the firm and with external stakeholders.
• Adhere to all firm policies and practices, maintaining ethical standards and professional integrity.
• Engage in physical and sedentary activities, including extensive computer work, virtual meetings, and conferences.
• Perform additional duties, tasks, or projects as supervising attorneys assign.

Requirements:

• JD degree from an accredited law school.
• Bar admission in California.
• 2+ years of transactional tax experience in fund formation, Section 892 investors, real estate, income tax treaties, and cross-border transactions.
• Experience with AmLaw 100 firms or SEC-related matters preferred.
• Strong analytical and writing skills with attention to detail.
• Good business judgment and organizational abilities.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
• Demonstrated oral and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in research, problem-solving, and conceptual thinking.
• Ability to influence and persuade others effectively.
• Previous management experience is advantageous.

Education and Certifications:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Active membership in the State Bar of California.
