Mid-Level Litigation Associate Attorney

A law firm in Irvine, CA is seeking a Mid-Level Litigation Associate Attorney to join their team. The ideal candidate will have 4-6 years of litigation experience from a mid to large law firm, with strong research, writing, and oral advocacy skills. This role offers the opportunity to work with diverse clients from various industries across the country and internationally, handling a broad range of litigation matters.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Represent clients in state and federal courts, handling all stages of litigation.
• Draft and file pleadings, motions, and briefs, ensuring accuracy and adherence to court rules.
• Conduct legal research and prepare comprehensive memoranda.
• Manage traditional and electronic discovery processes, including document review and production.
• Assist with, take, and defend depositions, effectively presenting evidence and arguments.
• Participate in settlement negotiations and strategy sessions.
• Provide regular updates to clients and ensure their interests are represented.
• Collaborate with senior attorneys and contribute to case strategy and development.
• Perform other related duties and special projects as needed.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the California Bar and in good standing.
• 4-6 years of litigation experience in a mid to large law firm.
• Experience drafting pleadings and briefs, managing discovery, and taking and defending depositions.
• Federal clerkship experience is a plus.
