Job Overview: A law firm seeks a talented Mid-level Litigation Associate Attorney to join its dynamic San Juan, PR team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in complex commercial litigation and product liability, with experience in the pharmaceutical and medical device industries. This role requires exceptional analytical skills, attention to detail, and managing multiple tasks effectively. The attorney will work closely with clients, experts, and senior attorneys to develop case strategies and deliver high-quality legal services.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Communicate effectively with clients, lawyers, and third parties.
• Supervise and mentor junior associates and legal staff.
• Collaborate with experts to prepare for litigation.
• Assist in fact development and conduct depositions.
• Review and draft discovery responses, briefs, motions, and memoranda.
• Contribute to the development of case strategies.
• Ensure all work products are timely, accurate, and high-quality.
• Adhere to firm policies and practices.

Requirements:

• Minimum 3 years of litigation experience, preferably at an AmLaw 100 firm.
• Experience in product liability and complex commercial litigation.
• Familiarity with the pharmaceutical and medical device industries.
• Strong analytical and writing skills with attention to detail.
• Good business judgment and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Research, problem-solving, and conceptual thinking abilities.
• Demonstrated ability to manage projects and prioritize tasks effectively.
• JD degree from an accredited law school.
• Strong academic credentials.

Education and Certifications:

• JD degree from a nationally recognized law school.
• Admission to practice law in Puerto Rico.

Preferred Skills:

• Additional degrees such as MD, MPH, PharmD, or Epidemiology.
• Management and leadership skills.
• Persuasive communication abilities.
• Influence and negotiation skills.
