Litigation Attorney

Profile

A law firm in Clearwater, FL is seeking a Litigation Attorney to join its business litigation department. This full-time role requires a self-motivated attorney with 3-5 years of litigation experience, capable of independently managing a caseload. The position offers an opportunity to handle pretrial practice, draft discovery requests, and procedural and substantive motions.

Duties:

• Manage a caseload independently, including all aspects of pretrial practice.
• Draft pre-suit correspondence, discovery requests, and responses.
• Prepare and draft both evidentiary and non-evidentiary motions and pleadings.
• Engage in legal research and draft legal briefs and memoranda.
• Represent clients in court hearings and collaborate with colleagues to develop case strategies.

Requirements:

• 3-5 years of litigation experience, particularly in pretrial practice.
• Experience drafting discovery requests, responses, and motions.
• Ability to manage cases independently from inception to resolution.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Active bar license in good standing with the State of Florida.

Skills:

• Strong legal research, writing, and drafting skills.
• Ability to work independently and efficiently manage multiple cases.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in handling procedural and substantive legal issues.
