Duties and Responsibilities:

• Draft and review plan documents, including health and welfare plans, pension plans, and executive compensation agreements.
• Provide legal advice on compliance with federal and state regulations, including ERISA, HIPAA, and the Internal Revenue Code.
• Assist clients with plan design and implementation, ensuring alignment with legal requirements and business objectives.
• Represent clients in negotiations, disputes, and regulatory matters related to employee benefits and executive compensation.
• Develop and deliver presentations and training materials for clients on employee benefits and executive compensation topics.
• Stay current with changes in relevant laws and regulations to provide up-to-date advice to clients.
• Foster and maintain strong client relationships through effective communication and excellent client service.

Requirements:

• 3-6 years of experience in employee benefits law, including health and welfare plans and qualified plans.
• Demonstrated ability to analyze complex benefits issues and draft plan documents effectively.
• Proven track record of building and maintaining client relationships.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Admission to the State Bar in Ohio.

Skills:

• In-depth knowledge of employee benefits and executive compensation law.
• Proficiency in analyzing and drafting health and welfare and qualified plan documents.
