Job Overview:
A law firm in Richmond, VA is seeking a dedicated and highly motivated Litigation Associate to join its dynamic team in a full-time, partnership-track role. The ideal candidate will have between 1-3 years of experience in litigation, particularly in complex cases like securities class actions, shareholder class actions, contract disputes, and government investigations. Duties:

• Handle a variety of litigation matters, including complex commercial disputes, securities, and shareholder class actions, and government investigations
• Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and discovery requests
• Prepare and manage case strategies, working closely with senior attorneys
• Engage in legal research and analysis to support ongoing cases
• Communicate and collaborate with clients, opposing counsel, and experts
• Participate in courtroom proceedings and assist with trial preparation
• Provide support in negotiating settlements and exploring alternative dispute resolutions

Requirements:

• 1-3 years of litigation experience (class of 2023 - class of 2021)
• Experience in securities class actions, shareholder class actions, contract disputes, or government investigations is a plus
• Strong academic record and exceptional analytical and writing skills
• Ability to work well in a collaborative, team-oriented environment
• Judicial clerkship experience is preferred
• Virginia Bar membership required within one year of hiring

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Membership in the Virginia State Bar required within one year of hire

Skills:
