Job Overview:

The CPU Design Technology Specialist will play a crucial role in drafting patent applications for innovative clients, engaging with patent office correspondence, advising patent litigation teams, and conducting interviews with inventors. This role requires a strong background in either Computer Science or Electrical Engineering with specific experience in CPU Design, including virtual memory management.

Duties:

  • Draft patent applications for innovative clients, providing comprehensive descriptions and figures.
  • Correspond with the patent office to address inquiries and facilitate the progress of pending patent applications.
  • Advise patent litigation teams based on a deep technical and scientific understanding within the field of expertise.
  • Conduct interviews with inventors to gather information about new ideas and inventions.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering (advanced degree preferred).
  • 2+ years of patent prosecution experience.
  • Strong background and experience in CPU Design, with a focus on virtual memory management.
  • Superior writing skills and excellent academic credentials.
  • Registration before the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office is preferred.

Education and Certifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering (advanced degree preferred).
  • Registration before the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office is preferred.

Skills:

  • In-depth knowledge and experience in CPU Design, including virtual memory management.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team.
