This role is ideal for a legal professional with at least 3 years of experience in bankruptcy law, specifically handling Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 cases. The position involves managing an individual caseload, attending court hearings, and collaborating with senior attorneys and support staff. This is a full-time, in-office position that requires travel to outlying courts.

Location

Duties

• Manage and oversee Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 bankruptcy cases

• Prepare and file all required legal documents related to bankruptcy proceedings

• Represent clients in bankruptcy court hearings and proceedings

• Conduct legal research and draft motions and pleadings

• Collaborate with senior attorneys and support staff to ensure effective case management

• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of federal and state bankruptcy laws and regulatory changes

• Travel to regional court locations as required

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of experience practicing bankruptcy law

• Proven experience with Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 bankruptcy filings

• Ability to handle an individual caseload with minimal supervision

• Willingness and ability to travel to local and outlying courts

• Must be eligible to work in the United States and pass background and pre-employment screenings

Education

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

Certifications

• Active license to practice law in the state of Ohio

Skills

• Deep understanding of bankruptcy law, particularly Chapters 7 and 13

• Strong legal research and drafting capabilities

• Effective oral and written communication skills

• Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and case management skills

• Ability to work independently and make sound legal decisions
