Duties:

  • Work alongside a team of attorneys to guide clients in achieving their strategic goals.
  • Advise healthcare clients on strategic transactions such as mergers, acquisitions, and joint ventures.
  • Assist clients with corporate and organizational workflow, including formations, capital raises, and contract negotiations.
  • Stay updated on health plan operations, regulation, managed care, and state and federal laws relating to health plans.
  • Handle matters related to provider contracting, Medicare risk adjustment, STARS, Medicaid, and behavioral health parity.

Requirements:

  • 4-6 years of experience in health plan operations, regulation, and managed care.
  • In-depth knowledge of state and federal laws relating to health plans.
  • Strong understanding of provider contracting, Medicare risk adjustment, STARS, Medicaid, and behavioral health parity.
  • Excellent oral communication, writing, research, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to take ownership of projects, work effectively as part of a team, and communicate directly with clients.
  • Admission to the CA Bar is required.
  • Outstanding academic credentials from an accredited law school.

Education and Certifications:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the California Bar.
