A law firm seeks an experienced Associate Attorney for its growing insurance defense practice, located in Las Vegas, NV. The ideal candidate will have 3-7 years of experience in handling general liability defense cases, including premises liability, automobile accidents, and intentional tort claims. Duties:

• Represent clients in defense of personal injury claims, including premises liability, automobile accidents, and intentional torts.
• Manage and handle all phases of case preparation, including investigation, discovery, depositions, and motions.
• Participate in trials and hearings, as well as settlement negotiations.
• Collaborate with other attorneys and legal staff to prepare case strategies.
• Maintain communication with clients and provide timely updates regarding case progress.
• Achieve billable hours targets and contribute to business development efforts.
• Assist in the preparation of legal documents such as motions, briefs, and settlement agreements.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in insurance defense or related civil litigation.
• Strong understanding of general liability defense, including handling premises liability and automobile accident cases.
• Demonstrated ability to manage a full caseload and handle cases from inception through trial.
• Excellent communication and legal research skills.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Willingness to take initiative and drive cases to resolution.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Must be admitted to practice law in the State of Nevada.

Skills:

• Experience in insurance defense litigation.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in legal research and drafting legal documents.
• Ability to handle a high volume of cases with competing deadlines.
• Knowledge of the rules and procedures of civil litigation in Nevada courts.
• Strong negotiation and settlement skills.
