Job Title: Litigation Attorney

Job Overview: A respected law firm located in Beverly Hills, CA is looking for an experienced Litigation Attorney to join its team. This position will focus on handling personal injury cases, with values ranging from low six figures to multi-seven figures. The ideal candidate will have a strong track record in litigation and possess the necessary skills to manage complex cases effectively.

Duties:

• Draft and prepare legal documents such as briefs, settlement offers, discovery motions, and motions for summary judgment.
• Take and defend depositions from witnesses, parties, and experts at various stages of litigation.
• Manage client communications and liaise with opposing counsel to ensure smooth case progress.
• Interview clients to understand case details, identify legal issues, and formulate a strategy for settlement or trial.
• Conduct thorough case preparation, including witness interviews, evidence acquisition, and investigations.
• Assist clients in preparing for mediation sessions and settlement negotiations with opposing counsel.
• Educate clients on their legal rights, responsibilities, and case progress.
• Represent clients in court proceedings, advocating for their best interests.

Requirements:

• Law degree from an accredited institution.
• Licensed and in good standing with the California State Bar.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in personal injury or general liability litigation.
• Proven ability to handle a diverse and complex caseload effectively.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Excellent research, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
• High emotional intelligence with the ability to empathize with clients.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from a fully accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Active California State Bar License.

Skills:

• Expertise in personal injury litigation and general liability matters.
• Proficiency in drafting legal documents and motions.
• Strong deposition skills, including taking and defending depositions.
• Client-focused with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Analytical thinker with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
