Associate Attorney Insurance Defense

Profile

We are seeking an Associate Attorney to join a prestigious insurance defense law firm in White Plains, NY. This full-time position offers a hybrid work schedule and is ideal for candidates with a minimum of 2 years of experience in litigating insurance defense cases in New York State courts.

Duties:

• Represent clients in insurance defense litigation, including pre-trial and trial phases.
• Manage and handle depositions and other discovery-related activities.
• Draft and file legal documents, such as pleadings and motions.
• Conduct legal research and prepare case analyses.
• Communicate effectively with clients to provide updates and address concerns.
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop case strategies and ensure successful outcomes.

Requirements:

• Admitted to practice law in New York.
• 2+ years of experience in insurance defense litigation in New York State courts.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Excellent writing and interpersonal abilities.
• Dual license to practice in Connecticut is a plus.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Active Bar membership in New York (Connecticut bar membership is a plus).
