A law firm seeks an experienced Civil Litigation Attorney to join its Beverly Hills, CA office, where you will play an integral role in representing survivors of sexual abuse. The ideal candidate is a passionate advocate committed to fighting for justice for those who have suffered trauma at the hands of school districts, religious organizations, and other entities. This is an excellent opportunity for attorneys with litigation experience in personal injury, medical malpractice, mass torts, or similar areas, seeking to make a meaningful impact.

Duties:

• Represent clients in civil litigation matters, focusing on survivors of sexual abuse.
• Draft and file legal documents, including complaints, discovery responses, and motions.
• Conduct depositions and legal research to support case strategy.
• Engage in pre-trial and trial proceedings, including jury trials.
• Handle all aspects of litigation, from case evaluation to settlement negotiations.
• Collaborate with a team of attorneys to develop and execute legal strategies.
• Manage client relationships with empathy and professionalism.
• Contribute to business development and case referrals, with a focus on building a caseload.

Requirements:

• Passion for representing trauma victims and advocating for justice.
• Experience in the representation of plaintiffs in personal injury matters is preferred, but attorneys with other applicable litigation experience, including in medical malpractice, mass torts, or insurance liability defense, may also be considered.
• Ability to handle complex legal matters and prioritize a diverse caseload.
• Demonstrated skill in conducting depositions and handling court proceedings.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proven commitment to client advocacy and ethical legal practice.
• A collaborative team player, with the ability to work independently when needed.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Licensed to practice law in the State of California.
