Fort Lauderdale, Florida
Represent clients in immigration and criminal court proceedings, including trials and hearings
Conduct legal research and draft briefs, motions, and other pleadings
Prepare and submit immigration applications and supporting documents
Advise clients on case strategies, legal rights, and potential outcomes
Participate in depositions and interviews as needed
Collaborate with attorneys and legal staff to ensure timely and accurate case management
Maintain communication with clients from diverse backgrounds throughout the legal process
Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
Admission to the Florida Bar strongly preferred (or awaiting bar results with the ability to serve as law clerk)
3+ years of legal experience (more experienced candidates will be considered at a higher compensation tier)
Prior courtroom experience preferred
Experience in either immigration or criminal defense preferred; experience in both is highly desirable
Fluency in Spanish strongly preferred
Ability to work with individuals from diverse cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Critical thinker with excellent legal writing and oral advocacy skills
Ability to manage cases independently while contributing to a team
Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited institution
Active member of the Florida Bar (preferred)
Exceptional candidates awaiting bar results may be considered for a law clerk position
