Commercial Litigation Associate Attorney

A law firm seeks a skilled and motivated Commercial Litigation Associate to join a dynamic team in New York. This full-time position offers the opportunity to handle high-profile commercial cases and provide valuable legal services to clients. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of experience in commercial litigation with a strong background in real estate and real estate finance matters. This role offers significant client interaction and the opportunity to work alongside experienced attorneys in a collaborative environment.

Duties

• Manage and litigate commercial real estate cases, including real estate finance disputes, in both state and federal courts.
• Draft legal documents such as pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and settlement agreements.
• Represent clients in depositions, hearings, and trials.
• Provide legal analysis and strategic advice to clients regarding complex commercial litigation matters.
• Maintain active communication with clients, providing updates and legal counsel on ongoing matters.
• Collaborate with senior attorneys to develop case strategies and prepare for hearings and trials.
• Manage a caseload with significant responsibility and client-facing duties.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience in commercial litigation, preferably with a focus on real estate and finance matters.
• Proven experience in New York State and Federal Courts.
• Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex legal concepts to clients and opposing counsel.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong client service skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Admission to the New York State Bar is required.
