Legal Secretary/Assistant - Corporate and Transactional
The candidate will provide administrative and executive support for 2-3 attorneys in our corporate and real estate transactional practice. Will be creating and maintaining spreadsheets and databases, handling confidential matters, drafting communications, and knowledgeable in the preparation of legal documents, including Agreements, Contracts, Affidavits, Auditor’s letters, Waivers, Notes, Disclosures, Opinion Letters, Engagement Letters, Conflict Letters, Promissory Notes, closing books and the procedures associated with real estate and corporate closings. Create closing binders, both physical and electronic forms. Compose correspondence for attorneys. Organize and maintain files for attorneys, including filing correspondence and/or legal documents in a physical office filing system as well as an electronic document management system. Analyze incoming correspondence for appropriate action and reply if pertaining to scheduling, billing or other administrative matters. Assist with opening new business matters. Close files in preparation for sending to offsite storage. Make travel arrangements and appointments, schedule meetings and conference/video calls; and maintain client contact lists and attorney’s calendar in Outlook.
