Job Overview:
A leading law firm is seeking a highly qualified Litigation Associate Attorney to join its San Francisco office. This role offers the opportunity to work within a nationally recognized litigation team handling a wide range of sophisticated disputes, including commercial litigation, white collar defense, investigations, IP, healthcare, financial services, and more. The position is ideal for candidates with 3–6 years of hands-on litigation experience and a passion for courtroom advocacy and strategic problem-solving.

Location:

• San Francisco, California

Duties:

• Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, briefs, and motions

• Manage all stages of discovery, including taking and defending depositions

• Participate in witness interviews and trial preparation

• Argue motions in court and support trial teams during hearings and proceedings

• Collaborate with attorneys across multiple offices and practice groups

• Work on fiduciary litigation and high-value commercial disputes

• Engage in cross-functional collaboration within multidisciplinary legal teams

Requirements:

• 3–6 years of litigation experience, preferably including trial work

• Experience drafting and arguing motions, and managing depositions

• Strong background in fiduciary disputes is a plus

• Judicial clerkship experience is a plus

• Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects in a fast-paced environment

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Active membership in the California State Bar (Required)
