Job Overview:
A prominent law firm based in Houston, TX, is seeking a highly skilled Insurance and Reinsurance Litigation Associate Attorney to join its team. The ideal candidate will have 4-7 years of experience in insurance coverage and commercial litigation, with a focus on issues related to professional liability, general liability, and directors' and officers' insurance policies. The firm represents insurers on complex claims and high-exposure coverage and reinsurance matters.

Duties:

• Draft pleadings and dispositive motions
• Manage all aspects of discovery and discovery motion practice
• Conduct depositions and court appearances
• Independently manage cases while providing support in collaborative team environments
• Assist in business development and client management
• Provide legal advice and expertise on complex insurance and reinsurance coverage issues

Requirements:

• 4-7 years of experience in insurance coverage and commercial litigation
• Experience in drafting pleadings and dispositive motions
• Strong background in discovery practice, depositions, and court appearances
• Ability to manage cases independently
• Proven track record in client management and business development

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
• Excellent academic credentials

Certifications:

• Licensed to practice law in Texas (or eligible to be licensed in Texas)
